Hawzah News Agency- An Indian cleric has emphasized the exalted status of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), describing his Seerah as the fountainhead of guidance, morality, and human salvation, and urging the Islamic Ummah to follow his teachings in practice to strengthen unity, brotherhood, and solidarity among Muslims.
Hojatoleslam Syed Mohammad Saqalain, Friday prayer leader of the Grand Mosque in Karnal, Haryana, made the remarks during his Friday sermon.
The Prophet's Exalted Status in the View of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS)
Referring to the greatness and virtues of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), he stated: "The full expression of the status and perfections of the Noble Messenger (PBUH) is beyond the capacity of human speech and expression. However, those most familiar with his station are the great figures who are the trustees of his knowledge and teachings and the true inheritors of the Prophetic Seerah."
Citing the words of Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (AS), the religious scholar added: "The Noble Prophet (PBUH) was sent as a spiritual physician for humanity to heal the intellectual and moral diseases of mankind and guide them from negligence, bewilderment, and misguidance toward guidance."
Divine Upbringing and the Prophet's Noble Character
Referring to narrations from Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), he said: "The Messenger of God (PBUH) was under direct divine upbringing, and God Almighty adorned him with the highest moral virtues."
The Indian cleric added: "Knowledge, morality, mercy, and human nurturing are among the most important elements of the Prophetic Seerah, and these teachings can still play a fundamental role in the intellectual and practical guidance of the Islamic Ummah."
The Prophet's True Legacy: Knowledge and Guidance
The Friday prayer leader of Karnal, noting that the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) have always explained their greatness in connection with servitude, obedience, and following the Messenger of God (PBUH), stated: "The words of Commander of the Faithful (AS) clearly show that in the view of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), the status of the Noble Prophet (PBUH) is extremely exalted and unparalleled, and the greatness of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) was also shaped in the light of the Prophet of Islam's (PBUH) teaching and upbringing."
He emphasized: "The true legacy of the Noble Prophet (PBUH) is not wealth or property, but knowledge, guidance, and divine teachings. The Islamic Ummah must learn this precious legacy and put it into practice in its individual and social life."
Prophetic Seerah: The Complete Model for Human Life
Hojatoleslam Syed Mohammad Saqalain noted: "The Noble Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is not merely a historical figure or social reformer, but the complete model of human guidance, noble character, justice, fairness, and human salvation."
He added: "The Seerah of the Noble Prophet (PBUH) guides the Islamic Ummah toward unity, brotherhood, peace, security, and the observance of human values, and Muslims today, more than ever, need to return to these authentic teachings."
The Necessity of Piety and Practical Following of the Prophetic Seerah
In another part of his remarks, he called on the faithful to observe divine piety, adhere to religious boundaries, and practically follow the Seerah of the Noble Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), saying: "In the current circumstances, the Islamic Ummah must, by benefiting from the teachings of the Messenger of God (PBUH), set aside differences and provide the ground for strengthening unity and brotherhood among Muslims."
The Friday prayer leader of Karnal emphasized: "The Prophetic Seerah must not remain merely in words and slogans, but must be considered as a foundation for the individual and social life of Muslims."
In conclusion, he prayed for the unity and solidarity of the Islamic Ummah, the establishment of peace and security in the Islamic world, the acceptance of the believers' worship, and the hastening of the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (AS).
